Build Your Toolbox

The Community Tool Box offers thousands of pages of practical guidance for community change efforts. We'd love to partner with your organization to deliver these resources for implementation to those you serve through a “mashup,” integrating curated tools and guidance for implementation with your organization's framework for change.

To see an example of a “mashup” to support implementation, visit Healthy People 2020. From their “Implementation” tab, if you select one of the phases of their MAP-IT model, you’ll see that Community Tool Box supports are included for those wanting more detailed “how-to” guidance. The Tool Box has supported mashups, or supports for taking action, with partners including the Institute of MedicineCDC Community Health Improvement Navigator, County Health Rankings and Roadmaps, Unnatural Causes, Medical Reserve Corps, the World Health Organization Regional Office for Africa, and the Peace Corps.

"Peace Corps’ work to adapt the Community Tool Box will be an invaluable experience to the work of volunteers. Our work in mobilizing communities to action all over the world through hands-on, grassroots-driven education and capacity building will be greatly facilitated by this tool, particularly in the work volunteers do in the mitigation of HIV in their communities."
